Originating from the mauby tree, the bark is primarily used to make a healthy and delicious drink. Although the bark is bitter, it is infused with spices to produce a refreshing Caribbean drink known for its health benefits.
Nutmeg (4) and bay leaves (4) are included.
Directions: Wash thoroughly. Boil in moderate amounts of water for one hour. Strain and extract. Dilute with fresh water then add essence (optional) and sweeten to taste.
Best served chilled.
